U.S. District Judge Edward Davila in San Jose is hearing Apple's bid for a preliminary injunction that would bar OpenAI from using allegedly stolen hardware secrets, and OpenAI's motion to dismiss the suit. Apple claims OpenAI used job interviews and design "show and tell" sessions to pull product, manufacturing, and supply-chain details for consumer AI devices; OpenAI denies it and says it has no need for Apple's secrets. A day earlier the judge ordered expedited discovery, including forensic device images and depositions.

How you’d use it: If you follow AI hardware or lab partnerships, watch this hearing: an injunction could slow OpenAI's device plans while the case runs.
