ASML says it can't fully meet AI-driven demand for chipmaking tools in 2027 or 2028

The world's biggest maker of chip-printing machines said AI demand is so strong that its planned 30% capacity increases for 2027 and again for 2028 won't be enough. Customers are already discussing orders for 2029 and some for 2030. ASML plans to upgrade existing tools, sell higher-throughput machines and raise prices from 2027, while its new Eindhoven expansion won't finish its first phase until 2029.

How you’d use it: If you plan to rent or buy AI compute in 2027–2028, lock in capacity early and budget for tighter supply.
