CERN and Mistral sign intent to build a Large Physics Model for collider data

On Oct 15, CERN and Mistral signed a statement of intent for a long-term partnership to develop foundation models for scientific discovery, starting with high-energy physics. The planned Large Physics Model would be trained on billions of simulated proton-proton collisions at the LHC and is meant to support tasks across the reconstruction chain, from identifying particles to flagging unexpected signals.
