On Oct 15, OpenAI said the ChatGPT browser extension can look across open Chrome tabs in Chat to gather context, and in Work can control tabs for tasks such as filling forms, sending messages, downloading files, and grouping tabs. Official docs cover Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi, with side chat on all but Opera. ChatGPT asks before using each new website by default.

How you’d use it: Install the ChatGPT extension, connect Chrome under Computer Use, then @-mention Chrome in a Work chat when you want help with open tabs.
