On Oct 15, Google said it is putting more inline links in AI Mode and AI Overviews, and showing them higher in responses more often. It is also testing a top section that highlights one or two official sites for a task, rolling its carousels of timely articles out to more locations and languages (they also highlight your Preferred Sources), and testing clickable creator names on video results that open Search profiles. How you’d use it: When you use AI Mode or AI Overviews, look for the inline links and the official-site section if it shows up, then open the source pages before you act on the answer.
