JPMorgan blocks outside AI agents from acting on customer accounts

On the bank's Q3 earnings call, CEO Jamie Dimon said JPMorgan will not let outside AI agents log into retail accounts or move money on customers' behalf, citing rogue-agent risk. A spokeswoman said secure open-banking data sharing (for example read-only balances via connectors) is still supported, but agents cannot send money or pay bills. The bank is piloting its own Smart Cash tool and warned customers that authorizing an outside agent can transfer liability.
