Karpathy: the gap in understanding what AI can do is now a "sharp funnel"
In a widely shared post on X, Andrej Karpathy estimated ~6B people have barely used LLMs, 1-2B use free chatbots casually, ~20M pros in math and code see agents finish weeks-long projects from a prompt, and ~5,000 with internal access see agent swarms. Karpathy says impact scales with how big and hard your problems are.
