OpenAI rolls out GPT-Live-1.1 in ChatGPT Voice, with new voices in six languages

On Oct 15, OpenAI started rolling out GPT-Live-1.1 and GPT-Live-1.1 Quip, a mini version of the model, in ChatGPT Voice. OpenAI says accents sound more natural across languages, and Voice now uses a wider range of short phrases to tell you when it's searching, so it says "checking..." less often. New Live voices cover French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Mexican Spanish, plus a new English voice called Bubbie, though the voices you see may vary by region and account. OpenAI says the update reaches Voice in ChatGPT, Codex and dots, is rolling out to all users today, and is coming soon to the API.
How you’d use it: If you practice a language out loud, open Settings > Voice in ChatGPT, pick one of the new French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean or Mexican Spanish voices, and try a short spoken conversation.
