OpenCode makes DeepSeek V4.1 Flash free on its Console for a limited time

OpenCode posted on Oct 15 that DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is “now free in OpenCode.” Its Console docs list a separate model ID, deepseek-v4.1-flash-free, with free input, output and cached reads, alongside the paid deepseek-v4.1-flash tier. OpenCode says the free model is available for a limited time, with no end date published, and that its provider follows a zero-retention policy and does not use your data for model training. Models.dev lists the free OpenCode endpoint with a 200,000-token context window and 32,000 max output, versus 1,000,000 / 384,000 on the paid OpenCode entry. DeepSeek released V4.1 Flash on Sept 10, 2026.
How you’d use it: In OpenCode, run /connect, choose the OpenCode pay-as-you-go provider and paste your Console API key, then pick deepseek-v4.1-flash-free from /models and run a coding agent session without token charges while the free window lasts.
