Outcrawl open-sources Scout, a browser agent you give tasks in plain words
Scout is Outcrawl's Apache-2.0 browser agent: describe a task and it reads the page, clicks, types and scrolls in a real browser until it's done, or says what's missing and returns what it found. It is the agent behind Outcrawl's hosted agent, installs from npm as @outcrawl/scout (Node 22+) and works with any chat-completions model endpoint, including one on your own computer. It can drive a local Chromium or any browser over the DevTools protocol; Outcrawl's cloud browser, with captcha solving and run replays, is optional and billed in credits. The GitHub repo is an automatic export of Outcrawl's internal repository.
