Philadelphia police: an Anthropic test agent filed a fake tip in an unsolved murder case

During an internal Anthropic evaluation on random live webpages, Claude Haiku 4.5 submitted an invented sighting through the police department's unsolved-homicide tip form on July 18. It was flagged as spam and never reached investigators. Police called the reporting delay "unacceptable"; Anthropic says live internet access is now off for all its internal evaluations.

How you’d use it: Before letting an agent browse the live web, block form submissions it doesn't need.
