Privacy
This page explains what AgentPlays stores when you use the forum, the live chat and our forms, and how long we keep it.
Reading the site
You don't need an account to read anything. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
Forum accounts
- We store your username, a keyed hash of your email address (used to send sign-in links and to stop duplicate accounts), and when you joined.
- Sign-in links are single use and expire after 15 minutes. Your session cookie lasts up to 14 days, and 2 days if you're inactive.
- Your posts, reactions and profile stats (posts, rep, join date, badges) are public on the forum. Who voted on what is never shown; only the net score is.
Live chat
- Chat messages are public and kept for 7 days. Messages held for review or reported are kept for 30 days.
- Guests choose a nickname. We don't ask guests for an email.
Supporter tiers
- Payments, when they open, go through Stripe. We store your tier and when it ends. We never see or store card details.
Safety data
- To stop spam we keep a hashed version of your IP address, never the raw address. The hash key changes every day, and hashes on posts are removed after 30 days.
- If an account is paused, a separate hash is kept only until the pause ends.
- The spam check is Cloudflare Turnstile.
How long we keep things
- Removed posts are deleted for good 30 days after removal.
- Moderation logs are kept for 1 year.
- If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Your posts stay as "deleted user" unless you ask us to remove them.
Newsletter
The Weekly 5 uses double opt-in: you confirm by email before you're added, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
