Get your internet bill cut by having ChatGPT negotiate in the provider's live chat
After a door-to-door rep offered fiber for $50 a month, AJ Stuyvenberg had ChatGPT negotiate his Verizon bill through Verizon's own live chat. After a little over an hour it got the bill to $69.99 from $94.99 plus a $47.50 loyalty credit, which he said saves $347.50 over a year.
Try it yourself
What you get
A lower monthly bill or a loyalty credit, negotiated in the provider's chat while you do something else.
Tools
- ChatGPT with computer use, in a browser already logged in to your provider
- A real competing offer
Steps
- Get a real competing offer first (his was a $50/month fiber offer from Comcast) and note your current bill.
- Log in to your provider's account in the browser the agent will use.
- Give the agent the competing offer and your current bill, and ask it to negotiate a lower bill in the provider's chat.
- Watch the chat and approve any plan change yourself before it's accepted.
- Compare the final offer with the competitor's. His agent reported Verizon wouldn't go below $69.99 and suggested taking the Comcast offer; he stayed for the service.

Watch out: Don't let an agent accept a new plan, contract or fee without you checking it first, and keep a screenshot of any promised rate or credit.
